The NGO Support Centre would like to invite you to a workshop on ‘Social movements in Europe and the Middle East: Interpreting the Anti-Austerity and Pro-Democracy Protests’, which is organized through our ‘Resources for Democracy’ project, implemented in co-operation with the University of Nicosia and SeeD and with the support of UNDP-ACT.
The workshop starts on Friday, 8th May, afternoon, and finishes on Saturday, 9th May, noon, and it takes place at the Home for Co-operation.
Throughout the workshop we seek to examine, analyse and more importantly, discuss with you the protest and social movements of Egypt, Greece and Turkey along with the ‘Cypriot reality’.
Speakers include: Dr. Nicos Peristianis (University of Nicosia), Dr. Ahmet Sozen (SeeD), Ms. Nelly Colbert (Lazord Foundation), Dr. Stefanos Vallianatos (Anna Lindh Foundation Greece) and Dr. Tugrul Ilter (Center of Research and Communication for Peace).
