News from Civil Society.

The NGO Support Centre in collaboration with the Management Centre of the Mediterranean is organising, through the Cypriot Civil Society Mapping & Capacity Building Project*, a series of 2-day training workshops for Civil Society Organisations. The workshops will reflect the needs that were identified during the project’s initial phase, which included the implementation of a Capacity Assessment Research, and will also address various topics relevant to the work of Civil Society Organisations. The aim of the trainings is to enable participants to have a thorough understanding of the different areas of their work as Civil Society practitioners. The first workshop will be on Strategic Planning and will cover a number of different theoretical and practical approaches for strategic thinking and planning.

The training will take place on 15-16 May 2015 from 09:00-17:00 at Cyprus Community Media Centre (CCMC), in Nicosia.

The key objectives of the training are:

• Define different ways of thinking creatively and strategically.

• Explain different approaches to strategic and creative thinking.
